Myco.ol: Mycelium Food Insulation


In a collaboration with Ecovative’s Forager Foams and Leathers, Myco.ol transforms mycelium, the root structure of fungus, into a light-weight, technical soft-cooler for food insulation. Mycelium foam, more insulating than plastic alternatives, can deliver high-quality food preservation that, at the end of life, breaks down to grow new life and promote fungal density: disrupting an otherwise linear global, industrial model for food storage, transportation, consumption, and removal.
